Screwdriver
Together with Moritz Ebbrecht, I created a cordless screwdriver for our "technology" design module. We used a more technical approach to the design and development, as the module's name would imply. The Audi AI:ME concept automobile, which was provided to us by our professor, was gained as our design inspiration.
The reserach
In our research, we first considered the car's important distinguishing characteristics and gave them attributes. Then we took a closer look at the car's four sides, sketched out their distinctive basic forms and labeled them once again with characteristics. Following the form analysis, we developed a persona, an empathy map, identified hills, produced an effort-impact matrix and prepared an elevator pitch for our cordless screwdriver.

Our concepts
In accordance with our results, we quickly and easily made plasticine models we could test. This gave us the chance to examine the cordless screwdrivers' usability. We developed concept sketches, using our models as a basis.

Clay model
We built a model out of clay and then used a 3D scanner to digitally scan it after the assessment. We could then create our final CAD model, based on the digital model.
